SOUS CHEF

The Role 

  • The sous chef will supervise the food preparation process as advised by the Head Chef.
  • They will supervise all kitchen stations and will have to provide motivation with other chefs of all levels.
  • They will have the responsibility for health & safety and food hygiene practices, ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created.
  • The sous chef will also have responsibility of the inventory, ordering & stocking process.

Working days

  • Currently: Tuesday – Saturday

CHEF DE PARTIE

 The Role 

The ideal candidate must be capable of cooking fish, meat and shellfish to a high standard, have an excellent understanding of fish preparation and storage.

  • Ability to produce dishes to a high standard
  • Passionate and ambitious to learn
  • To be able to run a section during service

KITCHEN PORTER

Your role as Kitchen Porter:

This is an entry level position in the kitchen. We recognise and celebrate the importance of a good kitchen porter for helping the kitchen run smoothly. No matter how good the chefs might be, if there are no clean pans nothing is going to get cooked!

Hours of work (Variable)

10.30am – finish

6pm – finish

Our main duties will involve: 

  • Ensuring basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible
  • Collecting and washing up pots and pans
  • Cleaning food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery
  • Unloading food and equipment deliveries
  • Keeping work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised
  • Performing other duties as required including deep cleans and attending to laundry

What we are looking for: 

– Some previous exposure to a kitchen environment ideal

– Ability to work on your own initiative

– Desire to learn, improve and train from those around you

– A proud individual that always strives to deliver their best
