'Here at the Galley, all the fish is bought from local fishermen or direct from Brixham market each day.

Everything is bought whole, and is prepared (filleted, skinned, pin boned, etc). This is done just before it is cooked for you, meaning that it takes time to serve,
this way it holds the freshest possible taste.

So be patient & enjoy the company of friends & the relaxing surroundings within the restaurant.

I do not like to over cook my food as delicate flavours of prime fish can be ruined.. I now guarantee your experience at The Galley Restaurant will be an uplifting one.

FEEDING THE DESIRE

Our quest is to go back to basics with a twist of flair. To buy locally, giving support to our producers and suppliers, keeping Devon’s local economy healthy. We work with our seasons and all our produce is traceable. Our strength lies in sourcing locally grown produce and support
to our South West Producers.

The Majority of my dishes consist of garlic, ginger, a lot of unusual herbs & occasional spices, these dishes can be changed to be made simpler with or without.

Main courses are served with garden seasonal local vegetables & potatoes.

~MIXED GRILL~
* gf.~ A robust, but mellow experience using Brixham fish & shellfish,
finished with an exotic Cajun edge
!!this is a mixed grill of fish! don’t ask it’s a surprise!!...

~PLAICE~
* gf. ~ Lyme bay fillets of Plaice upon a seaweed mash, garnished with seared
diver scallops, & masked with a snipped herb and ginseng butter sauce.

~POSH F 'N' C~
* sf. ~ Fillets of Fresh fish together in Tempura beer batter
with vinegar cut chips & Yorkshire caviar.

~SEABASS~
*@gf. ~ Line caught Seabass, nestled upon Tomato pesto & lavender crushed potatoes.

~MONKFISH~
* gf. ~ Delicately grilled fillets of Monkfish, together with bombay potatoes,
coriander, spiced mango & cream.

~LEMONSOLE~
*sf.gf. ~ Lemon Sole, gently brushed with a herbed wine, truffle oil & citrus butter.

~PLEASURES OF THE SEA~
*gf. ~ Mixed fruits of Scallops, Prawn & Monk, together with braised rice & cardamom butter sauce
